COLOUR REPRESENTATION

All the photographs are taken in natural light, however display settings may mean that the image looks different on your screen. If you would like further imagery for a piece, then please contact me.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Commissioned paintings are non-refundable or returnable.  Commissioned work is specific to each customer and so cannot be sold on after return. Once payment is taken for commissions I will only refund if I have not yet started the work. There can be a lot of preparation work involved in a commissioned piece.

If you need to return any other item, contact me within 14 days to request a refund. Once the return has been agreed, you should pack and arrange return delivery. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of safe return. I recommend using a postage method with adequate insurance to return the work. Unfortunately I cannot refund the cost of your return postage or the original order postage cost. Please bear this in mind when ordering.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Valid gift voucher codes can be used to purchase any artwork on the website. When applied at checkout the voucher code will subtract the value of the voucher from the checkout total. When the value of the voucher is greater than the value of the checkout the remaining value of the voucher will be valid for use again for up to 2 transactions.

Please contact me within 14 days of purchase to receive a refund for purchased gift vouchers.

Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Orders for artwork already completed will be packed and sent via courier within 5- 10 working days.

For commissioned paintings please allow at least 6 weeks from the date of order. This timescale allows me to complete the painting and let the work dry sufficiently before varnishing. This period may be extended during periods of high demand for example in the run up to Christmas.

All prices include UK packaging and postage. If you live outside the UK please use the contact form to let me know which piece you are interested in and I will arrange shipping with you via email.

Good Examples

I find that the best photos for painting are taken with soft lighting from one side, for example sitting next to a window or outside on a bright day.

Poor Examples

Photographs that tend not to work well are usually poorly lit, too far away or blurred. I also don’t work from black and white images.

I will often change the background to compliment or contrast with the subject in a loose style.

Please indicate your preferred reference photo to use as the final composition / pose.
